Children to Children Charity Project

From 4 through 6 March 2019, during the Maslenitsa week, St. Petersburg became the venue for events within the Children to Children charitable project, organized by IACU (International Association of Civil Unions) International Association for Culture and traditionally supported by Gazprom export LLC.

The hallmark of this inclusive program is the active participation of children’s homes’ residents in the preparation of activities for children from other social institutions.

This year, workshops were given by children from SBI KR (State Budgetary Institution of Kostroma Region) Chentsy Center for Assisting Children Left without Parental Care (the village of Chentsy, Kostroma Region).  On 4 and 5 March 2019, they held artistic meetings with children from Pavlovsk Orphanage No. 4 for Mentally Disabled Children and Peterhof Orphanage No. 1 for Disabled Children And Children with Special Developmental Needs, and taught them to make angel dolls and the Maslenichka special festival dolls. Every workshop ended with a tea and pancakes party.

During their stay in St. Petersburg, the children from the Chentsy children’s home had a rich cultural and entertaining program. They visited the most famous places and monuments of St. Petersburg, the Petrovskaya Aqvatoria scale model museum, the State Hermitage Museum and a water park.
