REMIT Regulation

The European Union has adopted a Regulation on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (REMIT), which came into force on 28 December 2011.

The REMIT aims to reduce instances of market abuse by providing an abuse prevention framework for wholesale energy markets. It also requires market participants to publicly disclose certain insider information.

From January 1st, 2021, pursuant to REMIT, the insider information is disclosed on the special Seeburger European Transparency Platform.
