Slovenia

Natural gas deliveries to Slovenia began in 1978. Since the break-up of Yugoslavia, cooperation has been based on an Intergovernmental Agreement signed on November 5, 1992. Gazprom Export’s partner in the Slovenian market is Geoplin d.o.o. Ljubljana, founded in 1975 and now the country’s largest importer of natural gas.

The current contract runs through 2018. It provides for the delivery of up to 830 million cubic meters of gas a year to Slovenia.

As at January 1, 2017, around 13.5 bcm of natural gas had been supplied to Slovenia since the beginning of supplies, including 0.52 bcm in 2016.
