Slovenia

Natural gas deliveries to Slovenia started in 1978. Since the break-up of Yugoslavia, cooperation has been based on an Intergovernmental Agreement of 5 November 1992. 

Gazprom Export’s partner in the Slovenian market is Geoplin d.o.o. Ljubljana which was founded in 1975 and is now the country’s largest importer of natural gas.

The current contract between Gazprom Export LLC and Geoplin d.o.o. Ljubljana on natural gas supplies was signed in 2017. It runs through 31 December 2022. 

As of December 31, 2018, more than 14.5 bсm of natural gas were delivered to Slovenia since the beginning of supplies, including 0.46 bcm in 2018.
