Gazprom sets new records in daily gas supplies to Europe

Gazprom on 8 January achieved a new — by now this year’s third historical record of daily natural gas supplies to Far Abroad countries — 621.8 mcm, the company informed. Importantly, the peak of supplies was reached on Sunday, when foreign customers’ consumption usually declines to the week’s lowest indicators. The previous record — 615.5 mcm of gas per day — was set on 6 January.

In addition, for five days in a row (4-8 January) deliveries via Nord Stream have been performed on the level of 165.2 mcm per day, which exceeds the design capacity of the pipeline by 10%.
