Panrusgáz Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary

A festive ceremony on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Panrusgáz was held in Budapest. Over a quarter century, the company has supplied approximately 170 bcm of natural gas to Hungary. Today, it accounts for about 60% of the country’s gas imports.

The Hungarian-Russian Joint Stock Company Panrusgáz was founded in 1994 to ensure the efficient supply of natural gas to Hungary, to develop mutually beneficial trade relations and to maintain strategic level of partnership. The company’s shareholders are Gazprom export LLC, MVM Hungarian Electricity Private Limited Company and Centrex Hungária Zrt.

Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, Director General of Gazprom Export Elena Burmistrova congratulated Panrusgáz on its 25th  anniversary and underlined its important role in the development of gas market in the whole region. “Over the years, Panrusgáz has become a leading player of gas industry in Hungary and has earned an excellent reputation of a reliable supplier as well as a great business partner”, said Elena Burmistrova. “I congratulate the company on this milestone and wish it further prosperity, new achievements and best of luck”.
