In 2014, Gazprom Export supplied 146.6 billion cubic meters of gas to European countries. Western European countries accounted for approximately 80% of the company’s exports from Russia, while Central European states took 20%.

 

The Western European market (including Turkey) consumes the bulk of Russian exports. In 2014, Gazprom Export delivered 117.9 billion cubic meters of gas to markets in the region:

The Eastern and Central European natural gas market is particularly important because of its geographical proximity to Russia. The Russian “blue fuel” accounts for about 3/5 (three-fifths) of gas consumption in the region. In 2014, Gazprom Export sold 28.7 billion cubic meters of gas in this market:
